About me
I'm studying in school. I'm currently working towards a bachelor of business administration. I have a marketing management diploma and I'm one course away from an associate of arts degree in creative writing. Eventually, I want to get into film production for a career.
I also serve as a student representative on both my University's Board of Governors and Student Council. I love working hard to improve student life on campus and to create more of a campus community. I also work part-time in the movies department of a local Future Shop!
Essentially, I love writing and exploring life creatively and I love the power film has to capture and touch upon all of humanity’s creative endeavors: from storytelling to drawing, painting, photographing, creating emotion and expressing ideas through characters and situations. I’ve always dabbled in art, be it drawing or painting or just simply snapping pictures with my SLR. I hope to do more of that this summer and even do some short film pieces for my website.
My favourite movie would have to be REAR WINDOW, with VERTIGO coming up a close second and honestly, I could talk about my love of film for hours.
Some of my favourite books: this varies, but I'm into Atwood right now, I'm reading Alias Grace right now, and I've read all her novels up until this one. I also enjoy Conrad, Camus and Vanderhague to name a few. I also love reading and trying to write poetry - with inspiration coming from poets like Patrick Friesen, Robinson Jeffers, Emily Dickinson and Evelyn Lau among many others.
I also read a lot of non-fiction including stuff about creativity, marketing, business, political science, writing, self-help and more.
Music - I'm easy going, I listen to a wide-range of musical influence, everything from country to classical to heavy metal or trance.

My gear and gadgets
BEDROOM - I watch a lot of movies in my bedroom off of a P4 3.4 Ghz Computer with 2GB RAM, a Sony DL 16x DVD-RW Drive, a Creative Audigy 2 Soundblaster sound card that supports 6.1 surround sound (although I only have Logitec 4.1 surround sound speakers setup in my room right now. It was all I could afford at the time I setup surround sound in my room, a few years ago and it works). Later at night I plug in a pair of headphones so I don't keep the rest of the apartment up. I also have an ATI All-in-Wonder 8500DV Video card which streams stuff to my Samsung SyncMaster 213T digital video monitor. Later this fall I'll probably upgrade to the ATI All-in-Wonder X800 XT.
LIVING ROOM - In our living room, we have a new SONY KD34XS955 34"; Wega Widescreen TV. It was the biggest TV we could get for the wall unit that we have and did not want to part with. It's hooked up to an older SONY stereo system that doesn't have surround sound. We'll probably setup something for suround sound later this year.
