About me:
If I am not buying and selling comic books on eBay, then my second favorite pass-time would be watching and collecting movies on both DVD and LaserDisc (LD) formats. From the time that I purchased my very first DVD player back in 1997, I have accumulated a library of more than 1,000 DVDs! More than 25% of them are rare, out-of-print, imported titles from England, Germany, Italy, France, Canada, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan and Japan. Most of these titles will never find their way here on domestic DVD because they are deemed "too graphic" (explicit sexual acts, nudity, rape, graphic violence, body mutilation, bloody gore, etc.). Unfortunately, these titles are not found in DVD Town's database. Therefore, 'My Collection' does not represent my complete DVD collection in it's entirety. When you throw my LD collection into the mix, that will put my total number of movie titles to more than 1,800! For more details, you can checkout my LD shop: "Phatboyentertainment LaserDiscs" by logging onto: www.LDDb.com (LaserDisc Database). Of course, every week I continue to add to my ever growing DVD collection and I am always checking eBay for rare, hard-to-find LD collectibles. I am very proud of my collection and take great pride in it (as I should) as I have shelled out more than $75,000 (when LDs were $65 a pop!) into this k-r-a-z-y pass-time of mine! Like a little boy on Christmas morning, I am really, really excited with great anticipation for the arrival of Blu-ray technology to hit the U.S. market in the Spring of 2006. Until then, see ya' at the movies!
